20.000 celebrated the FESTA DUCATI 2008
Ducatisti from all over Europe came to the famous Nuerburgring race track to celebrate their passion for the Italian brand. Within the 1.5 days of the event 8.000 bikes entered the venue. Absolute Highlight was the meet & greet with Superbike-Star Troy Bayliss.
Köln/Nuerburgring July 7th 2008: Germanys most famous race track, the Nuerburgring, was the perfect location for the FESTA DUCATI 2008. Before the gates to the historical paddock opened a long queue of bikers lined up, waiting for the FESTA 2008 to start. A rich show- and entertainment program as well as guided tours through the famous region Eifel wowed the crowd. In the evening the live band got the party started and hundreds of Ducatisti celebrated until the early morning.
Highlight of the event was the appearance of the current leader of the World Superbike Series, Troy Bayliss. His European fans caught the opportunity to have t-shirts, caps and even bikes signed. For most of them this was probably the last chance to meet the likable Australian personally, since Troy is going to retire from professional motorcycle racing by the end of this season.
Besides Troy a lot of famous members of the Ducati Familiy, like Giancarlo Falappa or Livio Lodi enjoyed the FESTA 2008 at Nuerburgring.
“The FESTA DUCATI exceeded my keenest expectations”, says Walter Bauer, Managing Director of Ducati Motor Deutschland GmbH. “It’s an impressive feeling to see 20.000 Ducatisti united, celebrating together and I’m already looking forward to the next FESTA. Furthermore I like to thank our partners, sponsors and of course our guests.
